This copy has a folding leaflet on front free endpaper ("Paste this in your specimen book") with a among other things a table of discounts : "Owing to the enormous increase in prices of raw materials, etc., we are compelled to announce the following discounts, to take effect June 15th, 1899". Also this copy has printed on its front cover (in the same font as the title) "Sole Agents for Canada, Miller & Richard, Toronto, Ont."
Inner hinges split, 2" tear to rear outer hinge, corner creases to many leaves, 1/2" tear to pp.257-8, pencilled check marks and a few notes throughout. With rubber stamp on title-page: "Order from J.O. Pankhurst, St. John, N.B." Overall vg.
